In this Department we treat patient with missing & deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues. the oral health and esthetics are obtained for patients through the use of dental implants,dentures, veneers, crowns and teeth whitening through diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance. This department can improve the oral function, comfort, appearance & health of the patients by the help of single tooth or the entire set by fixed, removable prosthesis.
Department has 2 PG seats recognized by DCI.
The Department is well equipped with the state of art Prosthodontics department under able guidance of Head Prof Ashish Pandey from MDS, MBA, DPS (Singapore) who did his graduation (1990) & post graduation (1994) from one of the premier institution of India King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. Presently teaching UG, PG students. His clinical experience includes surgical experience for implant supported prosthesis, malformation of teeth & restoration of debilitating dentitions. he is having specialized knowledge of crown & bridge reconstruction, TMJ disorders & full mouth rehabilitation techniques. He has participated in various national and international conferences in India & Dubai, Nepal, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka & US. He has been appointed as the examiner of both UG & PG. He has guided 20 PG students & published more than 20 articles in national & international journals. He has been guide & co guide in many dissertation & thesis of PG students. He is the member of American Dental Association, member of world academy of ultrasonic Piezoelectric WAUPS (South Korea), Member of World Environment Organization, member of International Society of Infectious diseases,
The department has an adequate number of dedicated & sincere staff members who handle the lecture classes, seminars, clinics, research & lab work of PG & UG students. He has published articles in international & national journals. The latest equipment are also installed to facilitate Dental Implantology & Maxillofacial Prosthesis which are carried out regularly by the department.
An intricate system of seminars, workshops and participation in research projects keeps the intellect constantly stimulated.
